On 10 September 2026, the BlueDial project held its online transnational event "Successful Strategic Approaches to Blue Economy Governance". More than 100 participants attended the online event - Blue Economy stakeholders from across the Black Sea region and beyond.
The event brought together participants from administration, academia and research, industry, policymakers, institutions, and the NGO sector to exchange experiences on strategic approaches to Blue Economy governance - sharing lessons learned from other sea basins to foster dialogue, cooperation and coordinated governance in the Black Sea region.
What the Event Delivered
- Presentations on successful strategic approaches to Blue Economy governance from other sea basins, including international case studies from Estonia, Quebec (Canada) and Italy;
- An exchange of experiences and lessons learned among transnational stakeholders;
- A shared dialogue on how coordinated governance can be strengthened in the Black Sea region;
- New connections between administration, academia, industry, policymakers, institutions, and the NGO sector.
Lessons learned from other sea basins are a powerful starting point for dialogue, cooperation and coordinated Blue Economy governance in the Black Sea region.
